Fashion Design Instructor

Ms. Gannon has been teaching fashion design at VMCAD since 1978 and held the position of Department Chair from 2003 to 2015. Having earned her degree from VMCAD, she is well trained in the Haute Couture method of design, and has 45 years of experience in the fashion field. She is a key instructor in the pattern making, draping, sewing, and fitting classes. Ms. Gannon has worked in the fashion design industry throughout NE Ohio, designing career wear and swimwear, creating made-to-measure garments and producing fashion shows. She has worked for major big-box retailer at both the retail and corporate levels and as a workshop artist for Parade the Circle. She is a member of Fashion Group International, American Apparel and Footwear Association, and the Cleveland Museum of Art. Ms. Gannon stays actively involved in the community and engages her students in area projects so they will learn the vital skills necessary to succeed in their field.
