Idea Generation and Applied Creativity led by Dr. Mia Spanu offers an integration and convergence of knowledge domains through creative thinking, brainstorming practices, and a deep dive into thinking styles. Register today for this Online 8-week course beginning July 5 with The North Coast College. 3 credit hours are available for successful completion of the course.

Idea Generation and Applied Creativity

This popular course teaches techniques for integrating and converging different knowledge domains to form new patterns of thought, expand frameworks, and connect the previously unconnected. Idea Generation and Applied Creativity offers practical and applied methods in creative thinking, brainstorming practices, and evaluation of different thinking styles. Develop a flexible and fluid mind through skill building exercises.

Course Details

July 5 – August 27, 2021

The course is taught online asynchronously. There is a maximum of 25 enrolled per section allowing for active discussions and engagement with both instructor and peers.

3 credit hours and Certificate of Completion upon successful completion of the course.

Professor: Mia Spanu, PhD

Dr. Spanu has been teaching Sociology, Social Work, and Early Childhood Education courses since 1991. She earned her PhD in Sociology in 2000 in Romania and her Education Specialist (EdS) degree from the University of Toledo in 2004.  Mia is a Step Up to Quality/Ohio Approved trainer and long-standing faculty member in the General Education department at The North Coast College since 2011. Her favorite activities are reading, cooking, and spending time with family.
